WELCOME
Welcome to our Southwater publishing list for the second half of 2007. Thanks as ever for your wonderful continuing and growing support.

In the past year, thanks to you, Southwater has had a great time, with a performance eight percent up on the previous period. Sales increased in all corners of the world, particularly strongly in the UK, throughout Europe and right across Asia, India, and Africa and also very satisfactorily in the USA and Middle East. We are especially grateful to you, our customers, who make this happen by supporting us, and of course to our fantastic team of agents, representatives and distributors in all these places, who help you to do it.

I'd also like to thank our brilliant authors, photographers, editors and designers: we have been lucky enough to work with some of the top creative forces in the publishing industry, and they have our gratitude because it is the quality of the content, and the satisfaction and enjoyment of the people who buy books from all of us, that fuels the consumer sales that create the growth for everyone.

There are 72 new titles in the new season, with highlights too many to mention. Some special favourites among our editors are:

The Food and Cooking of Cambodia - one of the first books solely devoted to a largely undiscovered cuisine, with 300 photographs of ingredients and recipes.

750 Cocktails & Mixed Drinks - a 500-page book for the serious bartender, with step-by-step instructions and everything about preparation and presentation.

100 Classic Napkin Folds - superb professional table decoration to hotel standards for restaurants, caterers and home entertainers who quest for perfection.

The Complete Practical Guide to Successful Houseplants, Window Boxes, Hanging Baskets, Pots & Containers - 2,200 specially taken photographs and 160 planting recipes are a must for anyone making window boxes, hanging baskets or patio features.

Other subjects this season include dinosaurs; ribbonwork; detox; the Aztecs; food and cooking from Bulgaria, the Caribbean, Germany, Indonesia, , Mexico, Poland, New Orleans, Croatia and Slovenia; shrubs, trees and climbers; shiatsu; minerals, and aircraft carriers.

I wish you even greater success with these new titles, and if you have comments, questions or new ideas, please donšt hesitate to contact me personally, or Paul Anness on panness@anness.com.
