Creating and maintaining a garden is an exciting process: every season brings new attractions, and also a new set of responsibilities, duties and tasks. Knowing what to do when is crucial, and this book takes you through each seasaon in detail, covering work to do in the flower garden, the kitchen and produce garden, and the greenhouse and potting shed.

This book contains practical help for any keen gardener, whether beginner or more experienced. It provides everything necessary to make a garden look beautiful throughout the seasons. The emphasis is on good planning and setting schedules throughout the year to do the right task at the right time.

This reliable gardening companion, reference source and practical handbook contains over 900 pictures. The tasks and routines are illustrated with useful step-by-step picture sequences and include how to sow a new lawn, take cuttings, prune shrubs and control weeds as well as planting up tubs, window boxes and hanging baskets.

By taking advantage of the changing seasons and weather, the gardener’s work becomes easier to manage, more successful, more cost effective, and more enjoyable and satisfying.
